Where can I even start? Just thinking about her story makes me smile! Well here goes nothing... We knew of Peyton's existence from the first few months of her being in her bio moms womb, the only thing is that we had no idea how far along she was or if we even had a chance to adopt her. Dan and I prayed for that sweet baby from the moment we heard about it not knowing if he or she would ever truly be ours. Our connection to this baby was through my cousin who had adopted its 4 siblings. She had her hands full but wanted to keep the siblings as close as possible so that's when she called us. We were overjoyed by the possibility, however as months and months went by we began to lose hope. Just as we were about to pursue other options we got a call. I will never forget that moment, I was at track practice and my cousin informed me that there was still a baby, it was a girl and she was due mid June. With it being mid May everything became a reality. That next week we went down and met the bio parents and began to get things rolling. School ended May 25 and the next morning we got the call that the baby had been born (perfect timing for a school teacher). This is the 1st picture we received of our perfect little girl...

We headed down to Phoenix that next morning. It was 2 long stressful days of not knowing if we even would be able to take this precious girl home. A breakthrough happened on the 28th and we were elated, we were headed home with our baby!
This is Peyton now, she is almost 2 and the most spunky little ball of energy.
All 3 of us love her more than anything,it's amazing the bond we all share!
Dan and I have heard a number of times how lucky and blessed she is to have us and also how awesome we are for adopting. The funny thing is that we are the lucky ones! We both feel so blessed everyday that we can raise this sweet child as our own! Adoption is the best picture of how God has adopted us as his children! And that is just a little glimpse of Peyton's story!
